Rounds One & Two of Drafting Complete

30th November 2025

Rounds one and two (of four) of the Barebones League Draft saw teams following a range of strategies in securing their favourite cars. After a few discussions and one-off boosts, it was decided that each team has 20 credits in the bank, with 5 more coming on Monday.

Bidding was conducted under a round-robin system that saw each team nominate a car, placing an initial bid. Bidding then progressed with each team in order making their offers. Highest bidder of course wins. Details of who bid for what can be found on the cars page. Along with revised team rosters.

In summary, Kristiansen & Son followed an aggressive strategy, snapping up all the best talent no matter the price. In the end it worked well for them with other teams less certain of what was a good price and many wishing to conserve their resources for the season proper.

Other teams followed suit seeing the way the wind was blowing. Apex Peaks secured the first day's main prize, What 4-2(B) for what now seems a bargain - even though it currently ranks the most paid. Not wanting to miss out, other teams started lifting their bids, but for many one feels it was too late.

What 2-4(B) has won the inaugrual competition to be held at the Barebones circuit. A thrilling finale saw the favourite win with a little help from an unexpected source. Attention will now shift to the upcoming league event. Firm dates will be issued over the weekend and teams will draft their starting cars from a pool that includes many new faces as well as some of those that had raced in the practice event.

If you want to manage one of the teams, please email us (address in the footer). There are a few spaces still.

Barebones League Rules

1st November 2025

The wait is over.

The Amber Arrows are proud to announce that Barebones Raceway, our newly completed home circuit, will host its first informal testing competition this week.

Built from concrete, rust, and pure willpower, the track is finally ready to taste rubber.

We’ll be putting our machines through their paces, and we’ll be capturing it all in a video showcase of the early action—raw, unfiltered, and straight from the underground.

But that’s not all.

Plans are in motion for a ‘Play by Mail’ team event, opening the gates to racers near and far. Details will follow soon. If the response is strong enough, we aim to launch a full-scale official tournament later this year—one that’ll pit teams against each other for speed, glory, and a place in the legend of Barebones.

The arrows are nocked. The race begins now.
