Barebones Raceway League Rules
1. Credits

Each player starts with 5 credits in the bank at the beginning of the season.

Each player receives 5 new credits at the start of each week leading up to a fixture.

Credits may be used to test cars (1 credit = 3 timed runs) and purchase new cars (3 credits).

Deadlines for testing and purchases will be announced each week.

Unused credits may be carried over from week to week, unless otherwise specified.

2. Car Entry

There will be 8 teams in the first season.

Every fixture, each team must have four cars on its roster, with two cars competing in each of the three races. No car may race more than twice.

A substitute car may be named in case of damage or disqualification.
3. Upgrades (not in Season 1)

Players may spend credits on maintenance, added weight, and other performance tweaks:

2 credits = lubricated axles and wheel polish
-
3 credits = add weight to chassis as directed by team manager

4. Competition Format
-
Each fixture consists of three races, with each race having four legs.
-
To ensure fairness, starting grid positions rotate after the first random draw.

Each leg awards racing points:
-
1st = 5 pts
-
2nd = 3 pts
-
3rd = 2 pts
-
Any car that finishes = 1 pt

All four cars must participate in at least one race.
-
No car may race more than twice per fixture.
-
All results are determined by finish order, or timed results if a timing system is active.

Races are run down the Barebones Raceway track under consistent conditions.
5. Points and League Standings

Each team receives 1 championship point per race win. No other championship points are awarded.
-
The team with the most points at the end of the season wins the championship.
-
In the event of a tie, the total number of race wins is the first tiebreaker.

Bonus Credits are awarded for use in the following season:

1st place: +10 credits
-
2nd place: +8 credits
-
3rd place: +6 credits
-
4th place: +4 credits
-
5th place: +2 credits
-
6. Conduct and Fair Play

All testing, tuning, and adjustments must occur before heats begin.

Any disputes are settled by the Race Marshal.

Any testing data and upgrade details remain private between teams and officials.
7. Car Market
-
Each week, 3–5 cars will be placed on the market.
-
During the first season, when upgrades are unavailable, teams may only acquire new cars.
-
Each car listing will include weight, length, width, and height.
-
If two or more teams bid for the same car, a bidding round will occur—highest bid in credits wins.
